High-performance seismic-resistant structural system

The structural design of The Residences combines a dual system of reinforced-concrete frames and walls with floor solutions tailored to the project's different load and geometry demands:

  • Medium-Ductility Frames (Reinforced Concrete): The main structure is built with medium-ductility reinforced-concrete frames, designed to safely and efficiently absorb and dissipate the energy generated by seismic loads.
  • Concrete Wall Core: Complements the frame system by providing the lateral stiffness needed to control displacements under seismic and wind loads, concentrating lateral resistance at a strategic point of the floor plan.
  • Mixed Floor System: Solid reinforced-concrete slabs in areas with higher loads or specific geometry, combined with ribbed concrete slabs in areas with wider spans, optimizing material use without compromising structural capacity.
  • Basement Containment (Secant Piles): The project includes 4 basement levels, whose perimeter containment is resolved with a reinforced-concrete secant pile wall, ensuring soil stability during and after the construction process.
